Grades;-yarn namely anjengo, aratory, vycomme etc. Depending on the colour, texture, hardness of twist, thickness, fibre length, quality of fibre used etc.3. Chemical testing: -Recognised by Australian quarantine and inspection service (aqis) chemical testing for determining the strength of hydrogen peroxide estimating the lignin, cellulose and hemi-cellulose contents, ph, salinity, electrical conductivity, e coil, salmonella, lignin content of coir pith. It is also able to determine the sulphur content of coir fibre/yarn. Extraction of organic matter from coir pith like lignosulphonates, resorcinol pyrogallol, catechol, tannin for industrial use and to maintain the optimum electrical conductivity of raw and composted coir pith.4.
