It provides the capability to determine in real-time the absolute location of each vehicle in terms of coordinates or its visualized position relative to a Digital Road Map. The vehicle`s position can be continuously updated based on user-defined intervals. Multiple vehicles can be tracked on a single central monitoring station, which basically consist of a PC communicating with the vehicles through a wireless link. Each vehicle is equipped with a ``GT-2000`` car unit that receives signals from the GPS satellites and transmits position information by GSM network to ``Guardtek`` monitoring center. In addition to position, it can also transmit time from the satellite`s highly accurate clock and other data such as speed, altitude, and emergency conditions engine status.
