Deliming the pelts thoroughly with DELIME DL has the added advantage, that all pre-tanning and pickling processes can be carried out in the most effective and economical way. It also eliminates the risk that is always involved in processing in completely de-limed pelts in view of their varying acid requirements due to the uncontrolled amount of alkali that they carry with them. Application : The amount of DELIME DL to be used depends upon the type of raw material and end product required. However for cow hides intended for Uppers 1.0-2.0% of DELIME DL on the pelt weight can be used. In this method the deliming is carried out in a paddle for a period of 40 minutes. The deliming can be checked by applying phenolpthalein to the cut section. There should be no pink colouration. DELIME DL ...................................
