At worse, the mail server may be prevented from receiving legitimate email if all available resources are exhausted. SpamSherlock validates recipients at SMTP transaction via a query to Active Directory or LDAP. As the result, if most of recipient’s addresses turn out to be not valid, SpamSherlock will block the SMTP transaction to reduce the damage during the early stage of attack and list the IP in DHA temporary blacklist.Automatic UpdatesThe latest SpamCheck rule sets, known spammer IP ranges and software updates are downloaded automatically via the internet to ensure the real time protection from new spamming techniques and spam patterns.
