Self-Aligning Ball Bearing

Self-aligning bearings accommodates misalignment better than any other bearingand runs smoothly, even where oscillation occurs. High-speed performance and anunparalleled speed range are produced as a result of having the lowest start upand operational friction of any rotary bearing. Due to the low friction and reducedmaintenance requirements, relubrication intervals are lengthened, which keeps thebearing running efficiently.Double row self-aligning bearings have a sphere raceway in the outer ring and adouble raceway in the inner ring. This feature gives the bearings their self-aligningproperty, permitting angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing. Theyare therefore particularly suitable for applications where misalignment can arisefrom errors in mounting or from shaft deflection. Double row self-aligning bearingsare mainly used to carry radial loads and light axial loads, but can`t carry pure axialloads.
