Penicillin G Procaine and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulfate Inject
Features:1) Active ingredients:a) Procaine benzyl penicillin 200,000IU/mlb) Dihydrostreptomycin (as sulfate): 250,000IU/ml2) Indications: antibiotic-Penicillin G procaine/dihydrostreptomycin provides highlevels of two antibiotics which offer a wide spectrum of antibacterial activity-penicillin is active against gram-positive bacteria and dihydrostreptomycin isactive against gram-negative bacteria3) Dosage and administration: shake well before using. Administer by deepintramuscular injection only4) Cattle and horses: 10 - 12ml injected at a singe injection site5) Calves, foals, swine, lambs, sheep: 2ml per 100lbs. Injected intramuscularly.The dosage should be administered every 12 - 24 hours for moderate injections.The treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the temperaturereturns to normal and all signs of infection have disappeared. In lactating dairyanimals, do not give more than two (2) injections each of 4,000 units of penicillinand 5mg of dihydrostreptomycin per pound of bodyweight. Injections of morethan this will cause residues of antibiotic in milk for longer than 72 hours6) Caution: keep out of the reach of children. Not for human ues animals may developallergic reaction to procaine penicillin or dihydrostreptomycin. Sensitivity toantibiotic effects after treatment have been abserved.Should be administeredwith caution. If difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face or extremities, salivation,or general discomfort are noticed, discontinue use. Promptly adminsterepinephrine by injection and call a veterinarian. Dihydrostreptomycin should notbe given to animals in which there is an impairment of kideney function.Adminnister by deep intramuscular injection only.
