Crude Beeswax
Beeswax is a product of the bee hive which is secreted by 12 to 18 daysold worker bees, from wax glands beneath segments six to nine of theabdomen. Beeswax is the "building materials" for honeycomb and sealingthe ripened honey. It is widely used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals,fragrant candles, polish, waterproofing and to make foundation comb forbeehives.The composition of beeswax is complex, but contains hydrocarbons, straightchain monohydric alcohols, acids, hydroxy acids, oils and other substances.Its specific gravity is less than one, so it floats on water.
