Electrode Conductivity Gel
Conductivity gel is a chloride free electrolyte which is non-allergenic, odorless,water-soluble and non-staining. It is used in conjunction with rubber electrodesto provide a medium for the current to flow effectively from the electrode tothe skin. It spreads easily and evenly and will not dry out under the electrodes (as watercan). It can be either applied to the electrode or directly on the skin, and canbe easily and completely removed using a tissue. Adhesive conductivity gel is also available (TAC gel), which eliminates the needfor taping electrodes down, and assures uniform prolonged contact between the electrodesand the skin.
