The cable has the advantages of simplicity in construction, lightness in weight beside its excellent electrical, heat mechanical and anti-chemical corrosion properties. It can also be laid with no limitation of level difference alongthe route.The cable is used for electrical power transmission and distribution systems,operating at rated voltage of U0 /U6/6 (6/10), 8.7/10(8.7/15), 12/20,26/35(26/45)kV 50Hz, AC.Properties of applications:1) Max. permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor of 6-35kVcable shall not exceed 90oC2) Conductor short-circuit temperature not exceed 250oC. Max.sustaining period not exceed 5 seconds3) Bending radius:a) Bending radius of single core cable: 20(d+D): t 5%b) Bending radius of multi-core cable: 15(d+D): t 5%c) D is actual outer diameter of cable sample (mm), d is actual diameter of theconductor (mm)4) Not restricted by the difference of level along the route5) Installation temperature: it should be heated while ambient temperature is below0oCTypical constructional specifications:1) Conductor: the conductor is composed of copper or aluminum by drawing andpressing. It is characterized with easy adjustment and high pressing coefficient2) Semi-conducting screen: the semi conducting materials for the conductor shieldand insulation shield are both cross-linkable; super smooth and can becompatible with the imported three layer co-extrusion materials. Theinsulation shield of 35kV is cross-linked and not strippable so as to keepthe close tie between them. The insulation shield used for 10kV or belowis made of strippable materials3) Insulation: the insulation material for 35kV is imported cross-linkedpolyethylene. The clarifying grade for material adding in the productionprocess is 1000, so that the cleanness is maintained4) Metal screen: the loose copper wire or tape is used to satisfy the demand ofmechanical property and short-circuit capacity5) Inner sheath and filler: polypropylene peeling thin film rope can be used infiller, which can prevent water from longitudinal permeation, so as to raisethe longevity of the cable6) The inner sheath can be made from PVC when requested by the customer. Ifthere is a demand for waterproofing, black linear low-density polyethylene canbe used7) Armour: to satisfy the need for mechanical pressure when installed, galvanizedsteel tape can be used8) Outer sheath: PVC and PE of ordinary or fire-resistant type can be used whenrequested by the customer. The thickness can be determined according to theouter diameter before extrudering or the offered international standard
