Principle of 15-lipoxygenase (15-LOX) In lipid peroxidation, including the oxidative modification of LDL, is recognized as one of the crucial events implicated in the development of atherosclerosis. The enzyme 15-LOX has been shown to promote the oxidation of lipid such as LDL, which plays initial role of developing the atherosclerosis. Therefore, it is considered as a therapeutic target for the treatment of atherosclerosis-related diseases. It also stimulates some promoting atherosclerosis factors secretion (ex: chemoattractants), which can induce many monocytes adhering to endothelial cells and entering the artery wall. The monocytes inside the artery wall turn to macrophage and engulf ox-LDL, then the artery becomes thicken. In addition, ox-LDL also causes endothelialium injury. In conclusion, the product with 15-LOX inhibition activity can be used as an agent for reducing formation in cardiovascular patients. Properties of 15-LOX Inhibitor 15-LOX Inhibitor , a concentrated fermentation broth, is soymilk cultured with beneficial lactic acid bacteria and yeasts; it is manufactured by a GMP pharmaceutical plant of Microbio Co., Ltd. in Taiwan, which is also ISO9001 certified. The product formulations were prepared at a cGMP pharmaceutical formulation plant. Use and Application Information Description of the Product There is one type of preparations: capsule containing 0.5 ml of the new dietary ingredient spray dried.
