With the introduction of the Ether-FSH2602G, OvisLink has developed the perfect solution for customer who needs advance web management function without the need for SNMP management. Impressive Hardware The SNMP-FSH2602G features 24 Fast Ethernet ports with auto MDI/MDI-X function to eliminate the need for cross-over cables. The single module slot can accept either single or dual-port modules in 1000Base-T/-SX/-LX, 100Base-FX, GBIC or Dual-Mini-GBIC specifications. Furthermore, the port`s status indicators are built adjacent to each port for fast viewing. Nevertheless, the impressive hardware is just the surface of the management power hidden beneath. Advance Web Management Functions Unlike ordinary web management switch that has only rudimentary port settings function. The Ether-FSH2602GW is equipped with some very useful and advance functions. Take the 802.1Q Tag VLAN for example, the switch not only support the member but also support Port VID function. This means instead of just managing the VLAN according to tag function. The switch can write tag to untagged packet. Used in conjunction with ingress filtering rules, invalid tag packet are dropped to prevent authorized VLAN assignment. The end result is the ability to assign VLAN groups across different switches. Data Rate Control The Rate Control function allow administrator to set the incoming and outgoing speed of each port separately at 1Mbps increment. Port Mirror function let the administrator read the packets from other ports for diagnostic purpose. The port turning can support up to 7 groups of link aggregation to increase the bandwidth. Broadcast storm control and 802.1p priority alleviate network congestions. The Ether-FSH2602GW can also be accessed from Telnet and console port. It is truly a cost effective solution for System Integrator, hotel, and smart building application.
