CLAs can be either cis- or trans-fats and the double bonds of CLAs are conjugated and separated by a single bond between them. CLA is marketed as a dietary supplement on the basis of its supposed health benefits. There is however no convincing evidence that taking CLA supplements has any benefits for human health. Conjugated linoleic acid powder is manufactured through the powderization of conjugated linoleic acid. The product is solid powder, which has good stability and fluidity. It may be added to animal feed; It may also be used in food supplements and healthcare food, which can strengthen immunity, repel cancer, and help people lose weight. Storage: The products should be stored in airtight drums under nitrogen atmosphere to reduce oxidation. The products should not be stored in uncoated drums Usage: The product is oil on triglycerides from containing 78% to 84% CLA wholly derived from Non-GMO safflower seed oil. Packaging and storage: The product should be stored in 20kg or 180kg inner-coated steel drums or airtight plastic drums, under nitrogen atmosphere to reduce oxidization, which should not be stored in uncoated drums as it may react with iron resulting in color variation an increase of oxidized substances. In order to avoid precipitation during transportation or storage, please follow the procedure to ensure a homogenous product before use. Gently warm the product to 30 C to 40C (86 to 104F) under stirring and nitrogen flushing to dissolve the precipitation completely. Please note that a fairly solid precipitation may require a little longer time for complete dissolution. Shelf life: The product is stable for at least 3 years if drum has not been opened. If drums have been opened for sampling for use, the headspace must be flushed with nitrogen prior to restoring.
